Match Preview: Winterton Rangers v Liversedge (Saturday, 3pm)

Winterton Rangers welcome Liversedge to West Street on Saturday looking to pick up points to end their three-game losing streak.

Winterton’s struggles have left them with just four points from their last six Northern Premier League Division One – East matches, while their opponents have earned seven from a possible 18.

Winterton are bottom of the table after 27 games, of which they have won six and drawn two, earning 20 points.

Liversedge are seven places ahead of Rangers in 13th, with 10 wins and three draws putting them on 33 points.

With 27 goals in 27 games so far this season, the hosts are the league’s second-lowest scorers with 1.0 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 61 goals at a rate of 2.3 per game.

The away side are also below average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.3 goals per game.

Winterton’s last match was on February 17, a 2-1 loss against Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Liversedge lost 3-1 against Grimsby Borough last time out, on Tuesday.
