Match Preview: North Ferriby v Consett (Saturday, 3pm)

North Ferriby welcome Consett on Saturday looking to pick up points to end their three-game losing streak.

North Ferriby’s struggles have left them with just four points from their last six Northern Premier League Division One – East matches, while their opponents have earned five from a possible 18.

With 50 goals in 29 games so far this season, Consett are scoring more than average in the league with 1.7 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 42 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

North Ferriby, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game. They have conceded 1.9 goals per game.

The away side are seventh in the table after 29 games, of which they have won 14 and drawn four, earning 46 points.

The hosts are two places behind Consett in ninth, with 13 wins and three draws putting them on 42 points.

North Ferriby’s last match was on March 23, a 2-0 loss against Liversedge.

Consett beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 1-0 last time out, also on March 23.
