Newly promoted Bury have made a statement of intent by luring attacking midfielder Owen Robinson from Step 2 Marine for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old turned down a new deal with the Mariners, with whom he made 45 appearances in the National League North last term.
Now the ambitious Shakers have swooped to sign the former Warrington Rylands, Lancaster City and Bootle man following their promotion to the NPL West Division.
“Owen is an outstanding young footballer,” said Shakers boss Dave McNabb.
