CANTERBURY City will be managed by a fatherand-son team next season following the controversial sacking of Ben Smith.
Former Hythe Town boss Clive Cook, 60, who had been out of football since leaving the Bostik South East outfit in January 2018, has now appointed his son Dave as his player-assistant manager.
Cook Jnr, 35, a former Ashford, Hythe and Faversham midfielder, will work alongside new coach John Ovard, physio Jordan Taylor and long-serving goalkeeping coach Ada Gower. He will also play when needed.
