AFTER an even opening in the sunshine with both sides struggling to find the final pass, United took the lead on the half-hour mark.
Dejon Noel-Williams skipped down the right edge of the penalty box before directing a low cross towards Leo Donnellan who shook off his marker and touched the ball past goalkeeper Adam Forster and into the net.
Before the break Yate went close with an Adam Price 25-yard effort just off target and another effort pushed around the post by Mark Childs.
The equaliser came just two minutes into the second half.
