TIVERTON maintained their lead at the top of the Southern League Premier South division with a hard fought victory - but it was far from easy as Swindon Supermarine refused to wave the white flag and battled until the very fi nal whistle of a pulsating encounter.
The fi rst half saw an even game with neither side dominating proceedings. The nearest Tiverton came was a Mike Landricombe header on ten minutes that was hacked off the line.
