STRIKER Craig Reid has left club Harriers after a tough 15-month spell at Aggborough.

Reid, 29, signed a two-year deal with Kiddy in May 2014 after making his name with fruitful spells at Newport County, Stevenage and .

However, his contract was cancelled by mutual consent yesterday after a disappointing time in which Reid scored just five times in 35 league appearances.

The Coventry-born forward, thought to be one of Harriers’ highest paid players, had yet to score so far this campaign and has made three of his four appearances off the bench.

Kidderminster chairman Rod Brown said: “I’d like to thank Craig for his professionalism while these discussions have been taking place.

“I think it’s obvious that we needed to do something that would enable him to go on and play his elsewhere and continue his career, as well as taking care of the club’s interests, which I’m happy to say we have done.”

Boss Gary Whild added: “On behalf of everyone at the club we’d like to wish Craig well for the future.”
