Luton Town Boss Pleased To Extend Jake Robinson Loan

Paul Buckle says he’s happy to have extended the loan spell of Northampton Town striker Jake Robinson.

LUTON TOWN boss Paul Buckle is looking forward to seeing more of Jake Robinson following the extension of the Northampton Town striker’s loan deal.

Robinson, 25, joined the Hatters on a one-month deal in September and has since four times for them, with his first start coming in their 2-1 win at Lincoln City on Saturday.

He is yet to open his goalscoring account for the Bedfordshire side but Buckle is pleased the former Brighton and Shrewsbury man will remain part of his squad for another month.

Speaking to the club’s website, Buckle said: “I’m delighted to have Jake here for another month. We’ve not really seen a lot of him since he was given his debut in the game at Alftreton, but he’s a good lad and a great character to have around the place.

“With loan players you know they are coming to you having not played a lot of competitive but Jake has worked very hard on his fitness since he has come here and he deserved to start in the last game against Lincoln.
“It was unfortunate that I decided to switch things around on Saturday by taking him off at half-time, but he’s a great player and it’s fantastic we can work with him for another month.”
