Adrian Cieslewicz Commits To Wrexham

forward Adrian Cieslewicz has signed a new contract that will see him remain with the Dragons until the summer of 2014.

The 21-year-old – a former trainee with Manchester City – joined Wrexham in July 2009 and has since made over 100 appearances for them.

His current deal at the Racecourse Ground was due to expire in January 2013 but he has now put pen-to-paper on a fresh 18-month contract, with the club retaining the option of a further year.

Speaking about Cieslewicz's show of commitment to the Blue Square Bet Premier outfit, Dragons boss Andy Morrell said: “I'm delighted he's stayed and I think this is the best place for him.

“He can kick on from here, because I think he can miss out the next stage if he does that.”

Polish youngster Cieslewicz himself added: “I definitely want to lead this club to where it deserves to be and I hope I can help do it.

“If I left now I would feel I had unfinished business with Wrexham.

“I've been working really hard to earn myself a new deal here and get my starting place in the team.

“My contract was up in January so only had a few months to run, so I'm obviously delighted.

“Andy gave me a chance to play and the only way I can repay him is by scoring goals and putting good performances in.

“Obviously by giving me a new deal he believes in me, so I want to repay him on the pitch.”
