Cambridge United Loan Out Another Youngster

CAMBRIDGE UNITED have allowed a second player in as many days go out on loan, with Jack Eades joining Ilkeston FC.

Midfielder Eades has featured just once for the U's this term and has already spent time on loan at Blue Square Bet North club .

He has now dropped down to the Premier Division to sign for the Robins on a one-month deal.

Commenting on the move, U's director of Jez George told the club's website: “As we've stated previously, it is crucial that our young players are playing regularly.

“In hindsight, we perhaps should have left Jack to continue his loan spell at Histon as he started every game throughout his month and impressed with his performance level.

“We recalled Jack when changes were made to the squad after the game but as things subsequently panned out, it may have been better if both players had continued playing regular first team football.

“It was important that we corrected the situation as quickly as possible because as more players from within the squad go out on loan, it becomes impossible to organize development games for players like Jack.

“This arrangement is a good opportunity for Jack at a good level and with a club that has a very young first team and is committed to developing young players.”
