Dagenham & Redbridge agree new 30-year lease for their Victoria Road home

have secured the long-term future of their Victoria Road home after signing a new 30-year lease.

The side confirmed they reached an agreement with landlords, the London Borough of & Dagenham, for the club to remain at the ground until March 2047.

The Daggers have played at Victoria Road since the merger of Dagenham and Forest in 1992 and it will continue to be their home for the foreseeable future.

It's positive news for the club as they continue to battle for promotion back into the League at the first time of asking.

's side are currently fourth in the National League table but it looks like they will have to navigate the play-offs to earn promotion with leaders Lincoln City six points ahead with two games in hand.

The new long-term lease will allow the Daggers to invest in improving Victoria Road, which has already undergone plenty of change since the club moved in.

An 800-seater stand was completed in the summer of 2001 and Pondfield Road terrace was replaced with a 1,240 all-seater stand in 2009 following the club's promotion into the Football League.

A club statement read: “Dagenham & Redbridge FC Ltd are pleased to announce that it has this week completed on a new 30 year lease on their ground in Victoria Road

“The new lease is a culmination of several months negotiations and the club would like to thank its landlords, The LB Barking & Dagenham, for their continued support of the club and in particular their Legal Services Department and Property Services Department for their assistance.

“The new lease will run until March 2047 and not only enables the club to comply fully with various football regulatory conditions but also enables it to continue investing in and improving the infrastructure of the ground.”
