The 28-year-old joined Luton Town in January 2012 but figured just one for the Hatters following Paul Buckle’s appointment as manager in April.

He was told he would not be involved with the first team at the start of this season and was subsequently loaned out to Notts County until January.

Boucaud had always hoped to make the switch permanently once the transfer window and has now got his wish, joining the League One on an 18-month deal.

Speaking about the move, he told the Notts County official website: “I thought it was going to take the duration of the month – if anything was going to happen.

“I’m glad that things are permanent now, as I haven’t got to think about Luton in the back of my mind, transfer fees and whatnot, I can just concentrate on my .”
