Experienced Centre-Back Joins Stockport County

Stockport County have secured the services of Fleetwood Town centre-back Kieran Charnock on loan.

STOCKPORT COUNTY have secured the services of Fleetwood Town centre-back Kieran Charnock on loan.

Charnock, 28, started out at Wigan Athletic but made his senior debut while out on loan with Southport.

After being released by the Latics in 2003 he joined Northwich Victoria and went on to make over 100 appearances for the Vics.

Charnock went on to represent Peterborough, Torquay and Morecambe prior to signing for Fleetwood on a permanent basis in 2012.

He has since failed to win a regular spot in their side and was subsequently sent on loan to Macclesfield Town in August.

After making 14 appearances for the Slkmen he returned to Highbury and has now been sent out on loan again, this time to Edgeley Park on a deal running until the end of the season.
