Boss Is Still A Happy Hatter

LUTON boss John Still said he was “delighted” despite seeing his Hatters side fail to claim full points at Lincoln City on Saturday.

The Skrill Premier leaders were forced to battle it out on a poor Sincil Bank pitch against an Imps side rejuvenated by loan signings Delano Sam-Yorke and Mitch Austin from Cambridge United.

And even though they failed to go home with three points, Still was more than satisfied.

“We’ve had a fantastic festive period and today I was delighted with the lads’ work rate and commitment in these conditions,” he said.

“You can win games 5-0 or 6-0 but sometimes it’s the 0-0 draws at places like Lincoln that win you the league.”

The Hatters’ run of seven straight league wins came to an end but with the U’s not in action, their lead at the top was stretched to five points.
