Fantasy Non-League Update October 18

WELCOME to the latest update of Fantasy Non-League 2015/16. Today’s update covers the period Sunday 4th October 2015 through to Saturday 10th October 2015.

First thing to mention in today’s update is another FA Cup Qualifying game that has been ordered to be replayed again by the FA. This was the game between Hyde United and Northwich Victoria.

The original game was played on Saturday 26th September 2015. It ended in a 1-0 away win for Northwich Victoria. That gave Northwich 26pts.

The FA then held an investigation into a loan player who had featured for Northwich who may not have been registered to play for them. The outcome of the investigation was made public on Wednesday 7th October by the FA.

They ordered the replaying of the 2nd Qualifying round match. The replayed game ended in a 2-1 away victory for Northwich Victoria giving them 22pts. So that meant we had two games played for one tie in the FA Cup.

So I have decided to remove the 26pts Northwich gained on the 26th September and give them the 22pts they gained from the replayed game on Saturday 10th October 2015.

Because the decision to replay the game was made after the end of September this point adjustment will not effect the result of the August/September 2015 Manager of the Month.

Finally, after some careful thought I have decided to make a slight adjustment to this season’s rules. I had said that all the play-off games at the end of the season would not incur points.

I have now changed my mind on this and all the play-off games will get points for winning or drawing. Please note the points will be the points awarded for league fixtures.
