LANCASTER CITY have signed Darren Green from their Northern Premier League Division One North rivals Bamber Bridge.

The 23-year-old started his professional career with Stockport County before going on to play for Farsley Celtic, Barrow and Kendal Town.

He linked up with Bamber in September 2011 and helped them to a tenth-place finish last season.

Green was expected to make his Dolly Blues debut at Prescot Cables on Tuesday night but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Dolly Blues have no game this weekend so his next opportunity to feature for them will come at home to Radcliffe Borough next Tuesday.
