THEY may not have been in FA Cup action, but Leamington’s Jack Edwards still produced a bit of magic on Saturday, scoring a wonder goal against Cinderford.

The Brakes were already four goals to the good when Edwards picked up the ball in the 56th minute just inside the Cinderford half.

The midfielder strode forward and unleashed a fantastic effort from 40-yards that sailed over keeper Ben Fletcher and into the top corner.

The Brakes – last season’s beaten play-off finalists – went on to win the game 6-0 and move up to second in the Southern Premier, just two points off early leaders Slough Town

Is Edwards’ strike an early goal of the season contender? You can view the goal down below courtesy of Leamington FC TV.
