King has momentum at Welling!

King’s Welling side are currently just three points off league leaders Billericay Town.

Welling announce

Top of the National League South form table over the past 10 games and with just one league defeat to their name since the middle of August, Steve King’s Welling United side have quickly positioned themselves as one of this season’s early pace setters.
A crushing 5-0 victory at in form Concord Rangers in the early stages of the campaign signalled the start of the Wings’ flight towards the summit of the table, which left them just three points adrift of league leaders Billericay Town before this weekend’s action.
While he is delighted with his side’s recent form, King, who moved into the hot seat at Park View Road this summer after almost pulling off the great escape with Whitehawk last season, is confident that his experienced side will keep themselves firmly grounded.
The Wings boss told The NLP, “We have done well so far, especially considering the amount of injuries that we have had to contend with.
“I think that we still have about six or seven players out so I am very happy with how the lads have adapted to some rather testing circumstances.
“They are a very level headed group though and I am confident that they won’t be getting carried away at all with how things are going”.
