Nuneaton Borough have confirmed that manager Nicky Eaden has left the club by mutual consent this afternoon.

Assistant manager Lee Fowler will take over the reins for Saturday’s FA Trophy tie at Brackley Town.
Eaden came in during the summer, with virtually no staff in place, and had to build a squad two months after his counterparts had concluded their pre-season plans.

There has also been an array of off-field issues that hasn’t helped his cause.
As well as having no training ground or training kit, there was no hot water in the showers – leading to complaints from opposition teams – before Nick Hawkins took over the club at the start of the month.
The ground had been powered by a generator – when it ran out of diesel before their FA Cup draw with Brackley, the team-talk had to be conducted in near darkness.

But a run of seven league matches without a win, plus elimination from the FA Cup, has seen Hawkins look to move in a different direction with the club bottom of National League North.
“With a heavy heart, myself and Nicky have agreed, that a change of direction is best for Nuneaton Borough Football Club at this time,” he said. “Nicky and his team have worked in difficult circumstances throughout his tenure and I appreciate, as do the fans and players alike, his efforts and commitment to the cause.
“On behalf of the club we wish Nicky every success in his future, he has so much to offer and I know in better circumstances he will excel. I trust the Boro’ Faithful will be fully behind us and continue to give Lee and the team the support that they have shown in previous matches.”
