Maidstone United could be set to receive a major injury blow to their top goal scorer.
Winger Blair Turgott has enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal netting 15 times as the Stones have struggled for consistency.
But the 24-year-old former England C star hobbled off in the first-half of their 3-1 defeat at home to Eastleigh last night with a knee injury.
Manager Harry Wheeler now faces an anxious wait to see if his captain will be fit for Saturday’s FA Cup second round tie at home to Oldham.
“We’re not sure how serious it is yet,” he told Kent Online. “We don’t know if he’ll be available Saturday but he was a big loss.
“It’s difficult without him. If you go and play deeper when you’re under pressure second half, you don’t have that threat on the counter without Blair. It was disappointing all round.”
