AFTER 24 hours of rain, a pitch as wet as an otter’s pocket greeted both teams.
Tonbridge were ring-rusty throughout the first half, suffering from what appeared to be performance anxiety and were simply unable to find top gear when it mattered.
Their hosts were also firing blanks when opportunity presented in front of goal so a lively first half left the scoresheets unblemished.
