SHOLING got off to winning start, despite losing two key players prior to the kick-off due to Football Association admin issues.
After 18 minutes Towler was cautioned for a foul on Sholing’s Yumo Wan but three minutes later Joe Adams caused havoc in the Mangotsfield area as Connor Whiteley and put the Boatmen in front.
Mangotsfields’ first effort came in the 27th minute when Dion Chambers found space in the box, but he fired over.
On the half-hour mark, Jake Cope saw his curling shot go wide of Pikes’ goal...
