■ SUBSTITUTE Callum Taylor got the only goal of an eagerly awaited local derby.
With both teams having been involved in midweek FA Cup replays, there was a cagey opening 45 minutes.
Taylor’s goal came nine minutes from time after neat footwork from Jordan Kinoshi following a long ball forward by keeper Charlie Crowley.
Until then both teams appeared shot shy, with chances at either end at a premium.
Hertford missed a glorious chance to equalise deep in stoppage time when substitute Kit Brown headed down and then over the crossbar.
