DARLINGTON gave poorly manager Alun Armstrong the perfect tonic by recording their first home win of the season.
He missed the match at Blackwell Meadows after being rushed to hospital the day before the game for hernia surgery but, in his absence, striker Luke Charman netted twice as the Quakers strolled to a convincing victory.
Under the gaze of assistant Darren Holloway, Darlo started well and broke the deadlock on 17 minutes with Charman rifling home from 18 yards.
