A LARGELY drab encounter was settled by a moment of quality from Ricky Modeste before a late flurry by the home side saw a penalty save by Jonathan Henly.
Billericay started brightly and after ten minutes Rowan Liburd combined with Laurie Wilson to play in Kweku Lucan, and his shot fizzed across the goal and inches wide.
With Doug Loft controlling the centre of the pitch, Tonbridge began to get on top, Loft’s quick free-kick on 24 minutes out to Joe Turner created an opening and his cross was deflected away for a corner.
