AARON Barnes scored the only goal to give Welling a narrow victory in a game of few incidents.
Billericay’s Rowan Liburd and the Wings’ Danny Parish had half chances before Parish again found space but shot wide.
Kristian Campbell also shot wide, although he was in his own half when spotting Blues keeper Bailey Vose off his line.
Then Charlie Lee was off target when Welling struggled to clear.
The last chance of the half fell to the hosts Che Krabbendam who shot over from a free-kick.
