BASILDON were left frustrated leaving Brightlingsea with nothing to show for their efforts, as their hosts scored twice in the second half to secure victory.
Nidal Berri forced a strong save from Regent keeper Christian North whilst Ryan Mallet saw his shot come crashing offthe crossbar.
Josh Taylor was denied twice on the half-hour mark with the ball hacked offthe line with the Bees pushing hard for the opener.
