OXFORD CITY secured a perfect start at home with victory over newly promoted Macclesfield at the MGroup Stadium.
Macclesfield perhaps had the better of the opening exchanges – D’Mani Mellor’s shot was the best of the early chances, but it drifted wide of the top corner.
City quickly found their feet and found themselves ahead after 20 minutes.
