It’s 41 years since Brian Hall’s legendary Wealdstone team beat Boston at Wembley and become the first side in history to complete the Non-League double.
Who knows where the Middlesex side would be today had that triumph come two years later, when the winner of the Conference was finally granted automatic promotion to the Football League.
Instead, they remained in Non-League, lost their Lower Mead home, tumbled down the pyramid and never again hit such rarefied heights – until now.
