SILSDEN made it through to the next round with their first-ever win over Consett.
Luke Brooksbank and Jakub Hebda tested visiting keeper Harry Moss before they took the lead after 34 minutes. A free-kick was given for handball on the edge
of the box and when Tobias Jeffrey floated it in, skipper Jake Cassidy powered home a header. Four minutes later, they doubled their lead when Cameron Bedford finished from close range after Jeffrey’s shot was blocked.
