Ineligible Player Sees Salisbury City Docked A Point

CITY have slipped to second place in the Conference South after having a point deducted from their tally.

The Whites were hit with the one-point penalty this week after they were found guilty of fielding an ineligible player in their 2-2 draw with AFC on January 12.

The player in question was Exeter City loanee Elliott Frear, picture below, who had agreed to renew his stay with the Whites but confirmation of this was not received by the Conference ahead of the match.

Darrell Clarke’s side now sit second in the Blue Square Bet South, behind leaders Welling on goal difference alone but having played two games more than the Wings.
