Harry’s still very much in charge

THE quote from Radcliffe boss Bernard Morley in last week’s NLP (The Week In Words, May 17), suggested that after 60 years, Harry Williams had retired as chairman of Ramsbottom United.
This is not the case – Harry remains firmly in the chair at the club. After 60 years, he has no intention of stepping down – and I wonder if this is a record time for anyone to be a chairman of a football club?
