Following their dramatic promotion from the Southern League Division One West last season, Swindon Supermarine have continued preparations for the new campaign by bringing in FA Vase winning defender Baboucarr Jarra from Thatcham Town.
Ahead of what is likely to be a testing campaign in the Southern Premier League, Supermarine manager Lee Spalding has opted to sure up his backline with the signing the former Windsor, AFC Hayes, Chalfont St Peter and Aylesbury United defender.
Jara played the entire 90 minutes as Thatcham prevailed over Stockton Town at Wembley in May’s FA Vase final. As well as picking up a winners medal, The athletic center-back also walked away with the Man of the Match Award after putting in a sterling display to keep Stockton’s dangerous attack at bay.
