■ FORMER Aldershot Town boss Danny Searle has joined Witham Town as a football consultant to support new manager Chris Taylor.
Searle, 43, was axed by the Shots in September with the club struggling at the bottom of the National League.
Taylor joined Witham in 2019 as a player and took over on an interim basis last November when manager Marc Benterman resigned.
Following a 2-1 win over Bury Town last weekend – their first victory in his 11 games in charge – Taylor was handed the job on a permanent basis with Searle ready to pass on his experience.
