THE season has seemingly come to an abrupt end. Apart from play-offs, there’s a cliff-like drop off of fixtures to choose from.
With a rare Sunday match planned for tomorrow – Notts County’s play-off semi-final against Boreham Wood – Idon’t fancy travelling far. City of Stoke, of the Staffordshire Senior League, catches my eye. It’s less than an hour away and it fits the bill of being a ‘small’ team in a place with a Football League team.
