Stalwart Peter Clarke must wait a little bit longer to join a distinguished list of players to achieve a golden milestone after his landmark celebrations were put on hold due to the weather.

The 43-year-old was due to mark his 1,000th appearance in senior football in Prescot Cables’ visit of Lancaster City in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
But the game was postponed as Storm Amy battered parts of northern England and Scotland.
Cables had laid on a special day for the veteran centre-back, attended by friends, family and former teammates.
