ROYSTON Town progressed to the next round of the FA Cup with a comfortable win at Hertford thanks to a Matt Bateman hat-trick.
There were plenty of chances for both sides in an open end-to-end game but the visitors’ aerial prowess ultimately proved the big difference for Royston.
Midway through the first half, Bateman converted two identikit towering far post headers to give the Crows a commanding position.
