■ SHILDON extended their unbeaten start to six games but must face a midweek FA Cup replay after Charlie Armin’s late strike earned Birtley a draw.
James Proctor had an early header cleared off the line for the Hoops before Andrei Ardelean put Shildon ahead with a sharp finish. Proctor quickly levelled, cutting inside and finding the bottom corner, before Scott Heslop went close to giving Birtley the lead.
