■ HERTFORD progressed in the FA Cup, after an eight-goal thriller against Harpenden.
Marcus Painter opened the scoring for the hosts with a smart run and finish early on and they proceeded to dominate the first half.
However, the Harps levelled right at the break through Danny Webb.
Two quick goals after the turnaround from substitute Lawrence Ajong and one from Billy Mardell-Smith then put the Blues 4-1 up. However, Webb then completed his hat-trick to reduce the arrears to one.
