■ MATLOCK TOWN won this Derbyshire derby as they secured progress in the FA Cup and claimed their first win of the season.
The Gladiators had the majority of the play in the opening exchanges and finally broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when the ball was cut back to Montel Gibson, who smashed home.
Matlock doubled their lead just before the half time break when Diego De Girolamo found the back of the net via the base of the post to claim his first goal for the club.
