ALPORT BOSS QUITS

WHITCHURCH Alport have been stunned by the decision of popular manager Adam Shillcock to quit just two games into the new season.
Shillcock, who was appointed in October 2023 after managing Market Drayton Town, led the Midland League Premier Division club to the quarter finals of the Isuzu FA Vase last season, going down 3-2 to eventual winners Whitstable Town.
Alport also ended the campaign in sixth place – their highest-ever finish – and won Shropshire’s TJ Vickers Cup with a 3-0 win over Allscott Heath in May.
