Alun Armstrong has warned his Gateshead side they will have to “do it the hard way” after being paired with League Two leaders Walsall in the FA Cup second round.

The Heed produced one of the shocks of the first round when they produced their best performance of the season to topple League One play-off contenders AFC Wimbledon 2-0 away, thanks to goals from Kain Adom and former Middlesbrough youngster Fenton John.
