RHYS Thorpe thumped home a 72nd-minute header to keep Diamonds’ hopes alive against Long Eaton.
The hosts created three crazy goalmouth scrambles in the first two minutes and saw a Joel Nketia far post header blocked.
At the other end, Long Eaton saw a header from a corner cleared off the line and a sitter missed from eight yards before taking the lead after 27 minutes through James Taylor’s a great header.
