GAINSBOROUGH Trinity avoided a potential banana skin to book their place in Monday’s draw, but were made to fight all the way by a spirited Sherwood Colliery side.
With the Preston brothers facing each other, it was Trinity’s Fraser who opened the scoring. A neat turn 20 yards out saw the striker beat Harrison Leech at his near post.
Trinity’s lead was short-lived, however, as Jordan Preston equalised just 90 seconds later.
