Blistering start by Basford is enough

TWO goals in the first 17 minutes sent Basford United through.
Liam Hearn gave them a fourth minute lead from the penalty spot after Courey Grantham had been fouled.
Jack Thomas doubled the lead after 17 minutes.
Basford keeper Kieran Preston saved well from Niall Cummins’ header.
Basford went close to a third goal two minutes into the second half, Chris Rowney clearing off the line.
Ryan Brooke blasted Curzon back into the game after 72 minutes and seconds later his header was turned onto the bar by Preston.
