Heanor Town roared into the last eight of the FA Vase for the first time in the club’s history with a 2-0 win over Crook Town.
Goals in either half from John King and Jamie Sleigh saw the Lions end the participation of former quarter-finalists Crook Town from the Northern League.
The United Counties League Premier Division North outfit, who had never been beyond the fourth round going into today’s encounter, were good value for the win after dominating long periods of the fifth-round tie at Mayfield Avenue.
