Former Hitchin hitman Brett’s Stot a new job

Donnelly, 37, who was player-assistant manager at Biggleswade Town before returning to Hitchin in the summer of 2019 as player-coach, takes over on May 8.

FORMER Hitchin Town hotshot Brett Donnelly has taken over as the new manager of Spartan South Midlands Division One side Stotfold.

Donnelly, 37, who was player-assistant manager at Biggleswade Town before returning to Hitchin in the summer of 2019 as player-coach, takes over on May 8.

At New Roker Park, he fills the gap left by Luke Gregson who resigned last month due to family and work commitments.

Donnelly is also a former Stotfold player and has also turned out for Barton Rovers and Potton United. He quit playing last July after a 21-year career.

Donnelly scored 52 goals in 198 appearances for Hitchin.
