Step Two clubs: Give us a fair crack!

FRUSTRATED Step 2 clubs are urging the National League to modernise – so they can shake off the feeling of being ‘secondclass citizens’.
Although the bulk of clubs in Non-League’s second tier voted in favour of a resolution of no confidence in National League chairman Brian Barwick and his board at an extraordinary general meeting on Wednesday, it didn’t carry enough weight to be successful.
That’s largely due to the fact that National League North and South only get four votes apiece, while top-flight clubs get one each.
