Sporting Bengal boss goes after five years

SPORTING Bengal United boss Imrul Gazi has quit after five years at the helm of the Essex Senior League Premier outfit.

Gazi and his first team coach Arosh Ali have stepped down after a run of four straight league defeats and an early FA Cup exit.
Last Saturday, they were hammered 8-1 at West Essex in the league and on Wednesday, they went down 2-1 at home to Ilford.
Gazi said: “It’s with great sadness that I have decided my time at Sporting Bengal has run its course. I move on knowing I’ve done my best for the club.”
