Darlington have signed attacking midfielder Will McGowan for a third time, on a season-long loan from Gateshead.

Darlington have signed attacking midfielder Will McGowan for a third time, on a season-long loan from Gateshead.

The 22-year-old had two spells on loan with the Quakers last season, first in September when he scored twice on his debut against Southport and went on to make 11 appearances, and then in March when he played 17 more times, scoring four goals.

Darlington manager Steve Watson said; “We’ve been trying to find a way to get Will back in a Darlo shirt and it hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
